About Me

In our very full, very fast lives, it’s easy to lose sight of just how amazing this world truly is, every miracle and tiny victory, the dramas, traumas and dreams.  Seated at this ample feast, my goal is to sample everything on the table, then sneak into the kitchen for more.  There are people out there whose darkest thought is the realization that no life, however long, can even begin to glimpse the infinite richness of reality.  I’m one of those.

I like to write and read across many genres and formats and interests.   My current projects are a post-apocalyptic novel and a poetry chapbook.  Always looking for freelance opportunities.  If you have ideas, critiques, writing offers, or just random conversation to share, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Hello. I just happened upon this blog, and was pleasantly surprised to see I was among the poets you admired from the 2nd Annual Poetry Festival. I truly appreciate that! For personal reasons, I was a bit disappointed with the day, but your compliment really means alot to me. Keep in touch…my email is malpiner@yahoo.com

Michael, happy to meet you here across the digital void! It was an interesting day (so long ago now), some highs, some lows, plenty of in-between. It was the first “poetry festival” I’ve ever been to, being sort of new to the field. Hope all is going well in your life and work.

Hi…I hate when the stresses of life interfere with the creative flow, but I still try to scratch out a fair amount of writing. I am working on a poetry collection for my dad who passed away a year and a half ago. My passed a few months ago as well, so it’s been hard to find the peace of mind to write. Nonetheless, I am working on a young adult sci-fi/dystopian novel that I hope will become something big.
Anyway…are you a writer as well? Did we meet at the festival (even though I know it’s been a while now)?
